Rearrange Track Stack?

I've been searching YouTube, my book, and the web for hours and can't seem to find an answer to this one. How can I rearrange the order of tracks in the timeline? Is there a way to move one track above/below another? Can I delete the FX, music, second video, and all other unused tracksto arrange a voiceover track to be just below a video track? I've read that in PD10 you could do this, but I can't find a way to do it in PD12.

To delete the audio track you don't want, first right click it and choose 'Unlink Audio and Video' you can now select the audio track on it's own and delete it.

The position of audio tracks in the stack doesn't matter. The only time you need to worry about that is with video and images - they are layered when rendering so what is lower down appears in front of the images that are higher in the stack.

p.s. As far as I can see the least you can display in your work area is 2 items per track Video, Audio. The minimum number of tracks appears to be 2. You also have Voice, Music, Titles and fx tracks so I don't see a way of displaying less than 8 tracks in total - but why worry about that?

Adding to that Longedge showed.
You can move video / audio and FX ranges in the left column click and hold and drag the track you want to move, up or down.
Tracks Text, Voice and Music does not move.

Note: The range voice can not be moved.

If so just move the audio, which can overlap the other audio you do not want

I'm not trying to replace the audio, I want them both. It would just be much, much easier to edit and sync the audio in PowerDirector if I could remove the blank tracks between the VO track and the video audio track, so I could have:

1. Video Track
2. Video's Audio Track
3. VO Audio Track
nothing/blank
nothing/blank
nothing/blank
etc.

To confirm what you're saying, you're telling me that I can't move, remove, reorder, or delete the FX, Title, and second video tracks (something Windows Movie Maker, iMovie, and Premiere can do)? PowerDirector requires you to have a minimum of eight tracks in the timeline of every project with vertical gaps in between?

I guess the best work-around would be to add an audio track below Track 2's audio, and resize the timeline panel to hide the other tracks.

Don't overlook the slider on the right of the timeline. You don't have to have all the tracks actually in view.
