PowerDVD 14 and CD Track Info

A search turned up nothing on this, so I suspect I'm dealing with a weird software fluke. Here is the deal: when I first play a CD, all I get is "Track #1", "Track #2", etc.; on the second playing the information fills in, but clumsily. Then, I lose all track numbering--to the left of every track, under the "#", all I get is "1". This would not be such a problem, merely an annoyance, except that I can not find any way to edit this stuff! I do not believe commercial software would be so limited, but if there are settings to make the track numbers fill in correctly, or that allow me to alter track info, I have not found them. I would appreciate aid or clarification on this point.

Is it a commercial cd or a compilation? Is it obscure or is it something that would be popular.

Is it only this one or are several? .

Thank you for your interest. What I describe occurs with all CDs. The poor track information is odd enough, but I was really puzzled by the inability to edit them. I take it there is a way?

The track number is understandable because that is how the tracks are listed (CDA). When I stopped playing the cd, closed it and reopened it, I got the names of the tracks with no numbers where you think they would be I have a music note.

I created a playlist from the cd and it filled in track numbers. BUT if you rearrange the tracks, the numbers just keep the play list number system.

I don't think you can change the information for the CD. The names of the tracks are in a database that someone populated - correctly or incorrectly. You can move the order around but unless you go back to the datbase, you cannot change the information provided in the program.

Sorry.

Additional note: I don't know and can't find which database Cyberlink uses. Here is some information on one of the more popular ones: Gracenote.
