3D not working
[Post New]
Messed around with the settings, but can:t get a 3d iso to work. The disk plays fine from my ps4 to the same tv in 3D.
Anyone else have 3D iso file issues?

Not sure if it could be the same issue but I have trouble with PowerDVD getting the 3D blu-ray disks to play in 3D (not iso's).

I have the 3D enabled in the nvidia driver. I got it set to 1080p, I got it set to 24Hz specificaly in windows control panel and looked in the nvidia control panel to be sure.

When I start PowerDVD 15 Ultra complains on mine it thinks is set to 1080p 60Hz and asks for me to change it yet I know PowerDVD is lying or not picking up the correctly set 24hz in windows correctly.

Would be nice to get it working correctly. I'm currently running window 10 preview now but I had the same issue on windows 8.1 with powerdvd 14 ultra and 15 ultra My graphics card is the nvidia geforce 780 ti. Latest nvidia driver.

ISO 3D movies work fine here with my AMD ATI video card. I've read of many issues with NVIDIA cards and 3D in general, I'm glad I don't have one.

Actually, I got it to work. Yes, the Nvidia card does have some 3D issues. It just seems to be unstable when setting it up. But after a reinstall of NVIDIA drivers (custom clean, or else it just updates) and a few restarts, everything is peachy for me now. I have used Geforce 680m to play and watch 3D games and youtube videos with no problems, but reainstalled windows and had to set up the 3D again, which I forgot...

Well I managed to get it working when setting it to 720p @60hz. 1080p @24hz on the other hand a no go cause PowerDVD keeps changing the refresh rate to 23hz on 3D movies regardless despite being set to 24hz in windows before launching the app.

For 2D it never changes my set refresh rate in windows cause I set it to don't change refresh rate and do not ask me. but its a shame it ingores that completly for 3D films.

Has anyone gotten round that issue. What would be better is the ability to remove the 23hz refresh rate from the list of supported modes.

What driver release did you use? I have a 750Ti card that won't play in 3D either with all hard ware being HDMI 1.4 compliant.

Nvidia 3D is finicky, ya. I actually ended up with the new drivers, but instead of clicking 3D in the Nvidia menu (it just won't take) I found the 3D folder in the Nvidia files, and started the 3D setup wizard from there.

Programx86, Nvidia Coporation, 3D Vision, and one of the .exe files, but I do not remember which one.

Hope this helps. Total pain in the a**.

It's weird. I tried reinstalling current drivers and setting up from the file. It passes all the tests, I can see 3D in the spinning nvidia test in both 720 and 1080p24 settings and the game slide show they offer. Cyber link seems like it tries to send 3d signal to my projector, and while my projector is 'thinking about it' (and finally switches to a 3d resolution) powerdvd has already decided just to play a bluray in 2d instead of 3d. I pass all the 3d bluray advisor tests. I've patched power dvd 15 to the latest. It simply will not play a 3d bluray in 3d. I suppose my next step is formal support from cyberlink, where my expectations are low.

Hallo,

I have the same problem with powerdvd. My Samsung TV is showing the Nvidia 3d logo correctly with 3dTV activated. But when I want to watch a movie the TV is switching 3D on and off forever, but the movie does not start. Is there a workaround for this problem?

Does anyone have PowerDVD16-17 work with Nvidia 388.31 windows 10 1709 ? because I'm not getting 3D effect. CTRL + T just doesn't work.

Corel Windvd12 works fine !

Using the latest PowerDVD17 patch 17.0.2302.62 ULTRA. using CTRL + T doesn't do anything in PowerDVD , it's like 3D is disable in the player it self.
