keeping complex projects in sycn

I am still using PD 11. Keeping things in sync is difficult with long projects. An example would be if I have a 90 min project on the timeline with multiple tracks and I want to add an additional clip on the main track that is close to the beginning or even at the midpoint of my project. If I do that all tracks below and to the right of the insert point get out of sync with the main track. With short projects I simply lasso all the tracks to the right of the insert point and move them to the right to create a gap. Then I can insert a clip on the main track and the tracks to the right of the insert stay in sync. After the insert I lasso the clips I moved to the right and place them back where they belong on the timeline. That is I move them to the left to close the gap.

The problem is it is impossible to accurately lasso an hour worth of video with PD 11.

My question is "has there been any updates in PD 13 to help keep long complex projects in sync"?

thanks,

In PD13 has some options to facilitate editing.

When you insert a clip to the project and given the options.

To avoid dividing files into another band use padlock.

See the image, compare with PD11.

If this helps... I had similar problems with PD12 until I got the hang of the built-in feature that PlaySound mentioned and the manual way you described.

I love PD13. I posted a video On this page I've worked on for 4 months. Lots of editing at the beginning, middle and end. Everything came out perfect. CyberPowerPC | Win7HP-64 | AMD FX-8320 3.5 Ghz | 8GB Mem | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB | WEI 5.9
