Suddenly, I Lost All Audio

PowerDirector 13 was working great. Now, all of a sudden, I have lost all audio. When I import video clips, I see everything just fine, but there is no audio.

I imagine that I accidentally clicked a universal mute. But I have no idea how or how to reverse it.

What do I check?

As an update, even uninstalling and reinstalling the software didn't help.

If you select the audio track and look to the left, is there a check mark in the middle box? If not, the audio will not be heard.

I assume that you did not change anyhting in the Windows audio set up. Do you get audio otherwise?

Where did you get the clips and what format are they?

Do you see the sound wave under the video? How high is the line/wave?

Thanks for the replies.

Yes, the audio track is checked off.

The clips are from Youtube and I can hear the audio when I watch them on Youtube.

Yes, when I view the audio mixer I can see the bar go up and down as though audio is trying to come out, but I can't hear anything.

I have no problem hearing the audio in WaveEditor.

My audio works for all other software except PD. It did work for PD until this morning.

I looked at everything recommended in that picture and it all looks good.

To provide some context, I was going back and forth between Sound Recorder when the problem hit. I was unplugging and re-plugging the headset into the computer. I think it might be a device/driver issue.

Try this solution. Don't know if it's applicable, but it doesn't hurt to check.

This might be too late but I encountered the same problem. It was working finen and then everything went mute but not really mute. I mean after encoding/rendering, the audio was there but at the editing playback it wasn't. So i looked around and right below the "preview screen" there is an audio button next to the 3D Button. If you hover the mouse around it, it reads, "Adjust volume" and that there was the problem, I had no idea I had lowered it completely down. I hope u didn't give up
