Hello, I need to know the best way to produce a video so it can be played from USB onto flat screen TV! What settings etc....

What have you tried/tested yourself?

The restriction would be the capability of the TV to recognise the frame rate and extension (format).
Most modern TV's accept either 25 or 30fps and some accept the 50 or 59.94fps. Try m2ts or mp4 in the H264 AVC then a 1080 profile that matches your original footage. Use MediaInfo, Guide Part J to analyze your original video. Post it here if you're still unsure.

I chose 1920*1080 MP4 for my Smart TV and what I did was to deal my original footages with Pavtube, and then add to USB for my TV.
