No Audio Playback

I opened Power Director 13 and I have no audio playback. The audio works on the computer in every other program I open just not PD13.

The audio meters work showing the audio is playing just cannot hear it.

I produced a short clip and it plays well (audio) in another program.

I make a DVD and it's ok too.

Did I mute sound in PD13 some where? I thought I checked every where.

Even in the older edits I cannot hear the audio.

Sounds like the audio got muted. Does the speaker icon below the PD video display window have a line through it?

As Jeff has said, it could be a mute problem. After checking Jeff's suggestion make sure that there is a tick in the video track timeline, that's the little speaker icon to the left of the timeline video track. If there is no tick, tick it and that should work.

I Made the mistake of editing with the preview and timeline not running in real time and this muted my audio for some time until I read the manual and discovered this is normal. Are you editing in real time?

Thank You Pete

I was in real time....But I checked onto preview and played the time line for about five seconds. Then I reentered the realtime mode clicked unmute (was not muted before) and now have audio again.

I would have never ever thought to look there..so thanks again.
