Hello Friends,

I have used my cam corder for a family day out, all footage transfered to PD10 ok, but 1 section for some reason has picked up some back ground interferrance buzzing noise.

I have played with the "fix/enhance" button with stationary, wind & clicking noise", but i cant remove the buzz interferrance noise, i have read the book, but still no joy, cant see how to dull out/remove the frequency buzz noise.

Any good video links ? or can some one advise on how i can alter the buzz intereferrance noise ?

Views greatly appreiated, Andy

One idea would be to fade out the sound and fade in music to mask the noise.

If it's a electronic buzz it maybe at a constant frequency and could be removed with a frequency notch filter in free audio editor Audacity or the like. How much one loses in the audio really depends on the complexity of the buzz. If the buzz is just white noise static, forget it, you lose too much audio content. You can extract just the audio from the video file with a right mouse click on the video file in the media library. Post 20 seconds or so of the audio file with buzz for evaluation and potential removal suggestions.

I have never heard a mobile phone buzz on a video. Although it has little or nothing to do with the solution, in the end I'd like to know why the buzz happened so I and others might avoid it. Was it a constant buzz, or was it intermittent? Providing a sample, as asked, would be a good step in the right direction. HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)
