Audio missing in editing mode

Hi there, I found a similar topic but no solution. I am using PD13 on Windows 8. The files are Sony's MTS. On playing the file with Window's Media, sounds is fine; when editing with PD13, no sound is available.

Yes, the whilte line is there, on the track panel, tried looking for any audio settings - is it on, it is checked and it is cleared. I don't know what to do.

When I produce the edited files, audio exists, but during editing, no sound!

Two main places to be sure of:

click the speaker icon on the preview viewer, be sure the volume is turned up all the way.

On the left side of the audio track, be sure the check mark is there.

PC Reiniar solves problems in some cases.

Carl312 showed two possibilities.

The problem is only with this video or any? AMD-FX 8350 / 8GB DDR3

Carl312's timeline screenshot show both the white line and an audio waveform, Does yours have an audio waveform? If not then you may not hear any audio in PD13.

Another possibility. The Windows sound mixer may be muted for Powerdirector. Or the Level slider is at the bottom.
