I am having a really frustrating issue while trying to trim video. I select the portion I want, then I go to the slider (as shown by the double arrow) and attempt to slide either end to the exact moment I want on the portions of the edit. As soon as I click it, the blue section indicator slides back to the beginning and I the end of where I had selected the trim on the video gets pushed right up against the beginning marker of the trim I was trying to make. I usally, press crtl z, then slide the blue portion slider back over the edit and attempt again. I am have this issue 75 percent of the time I try to adjust either portion and of the trip. Any help would be much appreciated. I can take a video of this and screenshots if necessary.

If I understand correctly.

You want to cut part of the video (trim)

Cut Beginning:

Take the slider to the end of the part that will be removed, click Split button or "Ctrl + T".

Select the part to the left and press DEL or right clik / Remove.

Is shown possible options.

Cut end:

Position the slider until the correct end, Split button or "Ctrl + T".

Select the part to the right of the split and DEL or right clic / Remove.

Cut in the video:

Place the cursor exactly at the beginning of the party will remove, and click Split button or "Ctrl + T".

Scroll to the end of the part that will remove and click Split button or "Ctrl + T".

Select the part between the two splits and DEL or right clic / Remove.

Is shown possible options.

Yep. Make the splits first, then cut or remove it. They do the same thing, except cut lets you paste it somewhere else. .
