Windows Movie maker VS. PD13
[Post New]
I recently nbought PD13 after using WMM. Even though I uninstalled WMM and it does not show anywhere in my files when I upload a video file it shows up in WMM instead of PD13. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks. JL

You might be able to remove it in the control panel, uninstall programs and look for the link to remove windows components. If that doea work you could probably change the default program for each file type. __________________________________

Thanks Jaime-esque. The problem is that I can't find it anywhere. Might it be in the Windows Media Player?

First find in Windows Explorer, one of the files you wish to default to Powerdirector,

Right Click > Open With > Choose Default Program. Choose PowerDirector, Click OK. File opens in Powerdirector and will from now on open in Powerdirector. If you have "Always use Selected Program..." Checked. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.

You did not specify what type of file you want to open in PD13.

I suppose it is video files.

I have as standard open most video files with Media Player, others with Media Player Classic.

In PD13 I always use the Import Media button to add videos, photos and music.

Only project files (* .pds files) opens directly in PD. AMD-FX 8350 / 8GB DDR3
