Why won't files go where export is supposed to send them?

I have set preferences>File> Export to read C:\Users\Buckles\Videos\PD13 working projects, but when I click to save a project, it asks for a file name that I give it and then I select the PD13 working projects folder and I click save.

When I'm in PD13 and click file> open project, the file is in the videos folder and not in the "PD13 working folder." I have followed instructions in Help and it doesn't appear to work.

Any ideas as to why this is happening.

After changing your Export Folder in Preferences > File, you use File > Save Project As and navigate to your export folder.

After you have made the save as to the new export folder, PD will offer the correct Export folder.

It does not work as you say. When I open the project, I click File> Save as and it takes me to the videos folder, when I click the folder that I want to save the file in PD13 working projects," the box that says "save" changes to "Open," and I can't save the file to the filder that I have set up in Export

Menu, File / Save Project As ...
Save new Project

Menu, File / Save Project
Updates Current Project

PD13 memorizes current directory to be changed.

Preferences .. / File / Import Folder:
Temporarily assumes the folder that was imported files to the library, Media Room (F3).

Produce / Output Folder.
If not selected, a folder to save the file.
PD directs save file to the folder configured in Preferences / File / Export Folder:

I always choose Output Folder and direct it to my event folder (project).

The selected folder in Output Folder is stored until you close PD13.

When you open PD. Output Folder folder, this set in Preferences ... / File / Export Folder. (Default)
