I have created a movie from quite a lot of video clips.
I have now moved the clips, PowerDirector and PD files to a new computer.
Accidentally, when opening the movie for the first time on the new computer, when PD asked for the correct location of the video clips, I clicked on the wrong files.
This means that the movie now opens a wrong clip in certain places.

I have tried, on the PD timeline, to right-click those clips to see, if I could just edit what file it should open, but that doesn't seem to be the solution.
It is a rather long movie containing many video clips, so I don't want to go through having to insert the correct clip and then finding the correct time setting etc. again.

Is there an easier way on the timeline to change an inserted video clip's location?

Thank you,
Carsten.

Since this is a new computer, the only way I know, would to edit the PDS file.
If this was your old computer that has the automatic PDS backup folder, you could maybe find a previous PDS file.

You can open the PDS file in any Text editor. If you know what the correct location is for the misplaced files, you can edit that location in the PDS file.

If you opened the project with the error, if not saved the project, close PD without saving design.
Open project and can again look for the files.
If saved project with the error, Carl312 showed the alternative of autosave project, it still has previous PC can copialo to your new PC.
Need to configure the explorer to show hidden files.
The path you see in PD, Edit / Preferences / Project / Browse.
Copy the text of this box and use it in search of the Explorer. AMD-FX 8350 / 8GB DDR3
