Been using PD13/AD5 for some time with W10TP, lately on the newest build 9926.

Today had several Windows upadtes, now PotPlayer, PD13 and AD5 fail to open.

I know it's not released or even being close to a release and this can be expected but wondered if anyone else is getting their toes wet? Bill

I was testing PD 13 with windows 10 preview build 9926. I has having good luck with it. Then on Feb 10 they had 3 updates and it made PD13 real slow and lag. When I would make a edit or do anything with it. I had to wait 30 seconds to a minute before I could carry on.

I had made a image of my 7 install right be for I put 10 on it. So I went back to 7 after that. Everything was fine then. I had PD 13 on build 2528.

Forgot to that PotPlayer fails also. PD13/AD5 start opening then fail, PotPlayer fails when it tries to load a video. The problem is from a AMD Radeon HD5450 update, module "ntdll.dll" fails. There was another AMD update today but that didn't help but "maybe" this means that they are aware of problems.

I'm on a dual boot with W7 so it's not a total loss. Bill

I can believe it on the video driver. On those updates Microsoft is make use take driver updates. On the 10 preview. I have talk to people test Windows 10 some of the are having problems with audio drives.

I hope when Windows 10 is release they don't do that. Intel i7 5960X overclock to 4 Ghz 16 GB of ram.

You are forced to accept also, no way to select/deselect updates. Some suggest a driver rollback but what happens tomorrow? You'd get an update!

Many posts in the Insider Program for W10TP about AMD graphics card after updates on the 19th. Some won't even boot up. They must be aware of it as there was another AMD update yesterday but it didn't change anything for me. Bill

I hope you guys are feeding back your experiences to MicroSoft. Don't assume that everyone is. .

They have an app for that but it tells you that they can't respond to everyone, whatever that means. I've posted in the W10TP Insider Program area at MS TechNet along with others with the AMD update problems.

I just recently had another issue where a MSVP or whatever listed a registry fix which didn't work. I've seen the same procedure elsewhere since. Some days later in another forum, a user suggested the same fix. Come to find out that it had a typo in which I noticed and passed off as being correct! So much for MSVP. Bill

I got an error trying to update to 10041 so I had to create an ISO from the 10041 ESD file the try creates. There is supposed to be an update option. Had some issue but just got the ISO burned this morning and about to try to update! Bill

I was doing some reading around this morning. I want to see if other editing programs was having problems with win 10. I see where some said that they had to go in and turn on net framworks 2 and 3 to get the video to render. That win 10 was turning them off. Intel i7 5960X overclock to 4 Ghz 16 GB of ram.

I took 10 off my desktop when PD 13 started having problems. I do think I going to try the new 10041 build on my laptop next week. I going to do a clean install of 10041. For right now I found a iso here of it.

Oh I just talk to a friend that said he could not get builf 10041 to install. He has a ATI video card. It just told him it did not know if it was a driver or software stoping it. It just roll back to build 9926.

That's probably an ISO created from the "install.esd" file in the recovery folder. There is no official ISO from MS for that build yet.

I bet see did to. One of my friends used 64 bit version last night to update from build 9926 to 10014. For he did not do all the downloading. Microsoft says the ISO will be out when the people on the slow update starts to get it. Intel i7 5960X overclock to 4 Ghz 16 GB of ram.
