well fellas, I downloaded alot of audio clips from the cyberlink website and tried to add about 100 of them to PD 13 and they add fine BUT.... when i open PD13 and go to Media Content and scroll down to the Downloaded sub menu . The audio clips start loading and they do NOT finish loading and the window will not close either. I get the " not responding " message and if i try and cancel the window PD 13 crashes.

I have tried to reopen PD13 and reload the audio clips many times and i get the same results. I guess my thoughts are that PD 13 will not handle alot of downloaded audio clips. Another test i did that has confirmed this is i deleted all 100 audio clips and reloaded 10 of them and all works fine . I also tried different sets of 10 and they all work fine. Does any one else have the issue ? How many audio clips will PD 13 hold without crashing ?

Any help would be great ......thanx Paul Win 7 64-bit, Intel(R)Core(TM) i5-3570 CPU @ 3.40 GHz with+ 12GB Ram. Intel HD Graphics Display . USB 3. Firewire and 1 TB SSD internal starup hard drive. One 2 TB sata internal Storage hardrive.

There is a 2500 item limit in the Media Library.

Read the last sentence at "Note:".

Powerdirector only has 100 Tracks in the timeline, so if you add more than about 99 audio files in separate tracks you probably get a crash.
90 separate tracks may work.

As far as I know. You can put as many audio files in a single track as you want to. There is no time limit. Although I would keep the length to less than 3 hours.

Hi Carl, thanks for offering to help but i may have you confused by my message. I dont have problems adding soundbite audio clips to tracks. Im having problems with the sound clips i add from the cyberlink user librarys website . i downloaded 125 sound clips from cyberlink and when i add them to PD13 by clicking on the soundbite it adds them to the PD13 media library automatically BUT... when i go to open PD13 and try and view those files my PD13 freezes and my only solution is to force close it . Now when i open PD13 and as long as i dont try and view those audio files ( all other files are fine) then PD13 works fine.

Hey Carl
I don't think Gottahaveitnow is pulling the audio files into the timeline.
I think he just downloaded them from Director Zone (and added them into PD13).
He then picked "Downloaded" in the "Media Content" dropdown (then he is getting the crash since he has downloaded more than 100 in that section).

I have only a handful so no issues (same as what he is saying when having only 10).

Gottahaveitnow this sounds like something you need to submit to support Win8.1 Pro x64 / Dual x5670 / 24GB / GTX960 4GB / 240GB SSD + 640GB HDD / PD13 Ultimate
