PowerDirector 13 Ultimate 13.0.2408.0 NO AUDIO
[Post New]
As of this morning my PowerDirector will not output ANY audio.
When I open a project the preview box volume is muted. Even after unmuting there is no sound. All video/audio files are enabled. These were all fine yesterday. There have been no changes between yesterday and today except that it won't play sound. My speakers produce audio from every other program. I can find no setting in PowerDirector to help with this issue.
This even happens when I don't open a project and just the program itself. It begin muted and even after enabling the sound it won't play from either the timeline or clicking on the imported videos and playing.

Also: I'd like to thank anyone that can help in advance. I've been using PowerDirector for 5 years and this is the first time I've come across something like this. It's my first time to need this forum and appreciate any assistance.
Thank you!

I was finally able to find the solution.
CTRL + Backspace
It is also an option in the PlayBack tab. It doesn't make sense why that is separate from the the mute tab on the playback box, but in any case I was able to get it fixed.

Brandon thank you so much, the same thing happened to me an hour ago, spent the last hour trying to figure it out. I was starting to panic after reading a dozen threads that didn't help. Thank you so much for posting the follow up.

That Ctrl + Backspace is a playback hotkey to toggle mute for a highlighted clip. It is the same as right mouse click, select mute. I never had a reason to hold down the ctrl key and hit other keys to find out what they do.
