It's great that the patches are coming quickly and all but it proves that it was a very buggy release to begin with. That's going to dent their business rep no doubt.
v12 in comparison worked quite well early on.
Will v14 be a rush out the door too? Asus P8Z68 Deluxe/Gen3 Mainboard : Intel i7 2700k @ 3.6ghz: 12 gb DDR3 Kingston ram:

What software today is not released in a rush???
This way of releasing software become the "industry standard", to the point that people expect updates regularly.
Imagine your Windows didn't get the weekly updates and especially the big one on second Tuesday of every month! People would freak out.

I have other NLE (more expensive) and still have bugs after one big patch, but people using it have to live with those because... nobody on that other team cares. Once or twice a year seems plenty for them!

Personally, even if I am frustrated too by this state of the industry, I am happy to see that CL bothers to invest time in fixes instead of just running to get the "next" version out - just to boost the revenue.

My main upset with the PD13 release is that it's rendering speed is slower than the PD12. Still is better than most NLE out there, but... not when compared with PD12.

I will say I have been running the Win 10 technical preview build 9926. So I have been testing PD13 with it. I was on a build for PD that came out in Jan I think build 2521. It must of been pull. I don't see it now on the forum.

I will say play today with 4K video files in PD 13 and win 10. I split a video clip and remove the end part and PD 13 build 2521or what ever build it was PD 13 just lockup. I seen this new parch 2528 fix that problem. I will tell people that win 10 has support for the h.265. That was one thing I was testing today. Intel i7 5960X overclock to 4 Ghz 16 GB of ram.

Don't get it... So your Haswell CPU (Intel i7 5960X) supports h265 with HA with this beta? Can you show a screen grab like the one below?
I have read that the newer Intel drivers added decoding capabilities, probably that's the reason, not Windows 10, see the link below:

PS: Intel Haswell generation is different from previous generations same way like nVidia Maxwell 2 is different from Kepler - they have added advanced hardware encoders.
It's just a matter of software catching up and using those encoders. And maybe OS has something to do with it too...

I was talking about the new patch fix my problem of PD 13 locking up after splitting a 4k clip after removing part of it. I was testing PD 13 and win 10. Plus I was testing windows 10 to see if it did support h.265 because I had to seen where they was doing it in the preview yet.

I have never used hardware encoding in rendering a video. I have play with a few years ago but do not use it. The Intel E cpu has never had the hardware video run in them. That I now of even the sandy bridge had it disable in them on the E cpus. I do use the hardware for preview when editing. In my testing with PD 13 and the win 10 preview I had had not run in to any problems with HD 1080p video just the 4 k clip yesterday. But this patch took care of that.

But here is what I was testing to with Win 10. Was will play back h.265 or HEVC and MkV files with out having to install a install extra codecs. The win 10 preview play them just fine with out having to play in VLC player. They play right in the windows media player. Even the 4K video files in h.265. Oh I well add I was able to play a 4K MP4 h.264 clip to in media player. I was never able to do that in win7. After looking at the link you post the 5960x does not have the Intel HD Graphics 5xxx inside it.

Windows 10 includes native MKV and HEVC (H.265) file formats support.
