If you use SmartSound (Magic Music) the music is royalty free.

You file a protest and provide the link to Smartsound's Royalty free license.

Hi newfielander -

The SmartSound legal department must spend a stack of time chasing these things, & it costs us time too.

I have a fairly extensive range of SS albums (purchased) & use SS tracks often. As sure as eggs, the music will be flagged as "Matching third party content" then I have to go through the form filling & explaining (at the link Carl posted) and wait to see whether whatever company it is that claims to own it retracts its claim.

It's just a bit ridiculous when you pay a pile of $$$ for music, then have to explain what you've done. Something seriously wrong there.

Cheers (or grumbles) - Tony

There's got to be a better way for SmartSound to handle this other than telling us that maybe we should use Vimeo.

Kevin

I have handled the claims many times on Youtube, all it really takes is a link to the Smartsound license.

However if you email SmartSound support, they will help you with your protest.
SmartSound support is very helpful.
