From the other thread, it seems you've discovered the issue with moving or renaming files... that includes moving the containing folder to a different location/file path.
As stated in the other thread, when this happens PDR will prompt you to
Browse for the files to point it to the correct location. Unfortunately, if you save the project without doing that - that's that. The project file will no longer look for the files you've ignored.
You can re-import the files from their modified location, but previous editing is lost.

http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/42298.page#218030 - making a working folder for your project or packing project materials will help avoid such issues.
Perhaps I've misunderstood. When you say "gone" do you mean the timeline has a series of black spaces & you're no longer prompted to Browse for the missing files?
