Stabilizing a Video with Rustling Trees

I want to stabilize a video that has a tree in the background, whose leaves are rustling in the wind. The stabilization is not working well and I wonder if it is because the leaves are confusing it. Is there any way to stabilize using just one side of the shot?

Screen content will influence stabilization. Without viewing the original footage it is a hard one to call. I can picture the scene and the difficulties a software would face.

Ok, you will in my opinion need to invest in a suitable tripod for such videoing and be less reliant on a shaky handed biped who's swaying tendencies are not correctable in a software editor!
