Hello and hoping someone can help.

I am having problems with, when adding a fade in or out transition, the audio doesn't follow with the same fade sequence. I'm having to do this manually every time. Its very frustrating and time consuming when working on a larger projects.

Please forgive me if this topic has been brought up before. If so, could someone post a link to it please.

Cheers

In the past it was common fade in / out for audio and video.

Then it was separated, and added 2 specic transitions to audio, but I think the way fast.

Option: (F9) Audio Mixing Room, Fad-in or Fad-out button, or directly on the audio line.

Thank you for the reply Playsound.

Is there a patch or plugin for a fix that will allow the audio track to replicate what the video track is doing.

ie. When adding the fade in (or out) transition, the audio will also automatically fade in (or out) at the same time.

I know this characteristic to be available in other editors eg. Vegas12pro, Avid Studio

What I do when applying transition only to video.

1 - Unlink Audio and Video, move the audio to another track, facilitates in this case.

or

2 - Lock the video track during editing.

In both cases use CROSS transitions to maintain audio and video synchronization.

My default transition behavior is Cross; however, when I drag the Constant Gain audio transition to an audio track, it automatically inserts it as a an overlap, which then shortens the audio clip and screws up the timing. If I immediately click Modify and set it as a Cross transition, it inserts a gap on the video track. This occurs whether or not I have the video track locked. Ugh.
