Hi,
Is there option to remove jello like it appears in this video @ 0:30 .
I have PD13 Ultimate, but there seems not be "NewBlue Video Essential 3" included in set.
Muvee has quite cost effective solution, but before purchase other options...

On how much it cost that flight, you could spare some change for a camera with a CCD sensor
That's the only way to completely remove rolling shutter jelly.

Hi BeetleSick74 -

You're right. The is a Rolling Shutter correction tool in NB FX III, which isn't included in PDR 13 (it comes with 1, V & VII). Users of previous versions of PDR would have NB FX III still installed. You could ask someone to do the correction for you, unless you'd like to invest some $$$ - 99 would get you out of trouble - er - forget that idea - the current Essentials 3 series is not compatible with PDR

Cheers - Tony

Was that tool called exactly like that?

Well - not exactly like that...

NB Video Essentials 1, 2 & 3 were provided with PDR 11 Ultimate. NewBlue Rolling Shutter (that's exactly what it was named) was part of VE 3.

Since then, NewBlue has re-configured its video effects offerings as you'll see on the NB site. The current versions of 1, 2 & 3 and also Motion, Art & Paint are no longer compatible with PowerDirector.

What was called "Rolling Shutter" is now called "Lens Correction" https://www.newbluefx.com/essentials

Cheers - Tony

Ah, it was hidden! I was expecting to be under "Stabilizer"...
Thanks! Never needed the Rolling Shutter.

Yes -

One day when I'm bored to snores, I'm going to sit down and edit all the NB xml files to remove "NewBlue" from the display name. Just a little bit silly that.

Cheers - Tony

Tested muvee "stabilizer". It destroyed video completely.
I'd call it maximizer. Misc vids, http://www.youtube.com/zuiker1974

Prodad, a Cyberlink partner, has a stabie that does a pretty good job with rolling shutter,
but it's not a plug-in, and it ain't free.

I did a test on a portion (middle, some 40-50% trim) of the youtube video from above.
New Blue Rolling Shutter took 14 minutes and results are not good. File size doubled.

Sony Vegas Rolling shutter took 4 minutes (uses GPU) and results are better but still not good. File size increased to 150%.

Like I said before, there is no substitute for clean original footage. Dump the CMOS camera if you plan to shoot moving scenes, especially from a vibrating helicopter/drone.

PS: Let me know when you done watching those, so I can delete them from my 'tube.

I guess the OP got his answer and decided that feedback is overrated.
I will delete the above samples from my tube account.
