Images are pixelated when creating a DVD

I created a DVD movie that is made of .jpg images that has transitions and motion, and music. When viewing the DVD some of the images become pixelated on the face of the people in the clip. Most of the clips are about 8'seconds long but the pixelation comes and goes during the clip. If there are 3 people in the photo, each face gets pixelated in sequence . Person 1 will get a pixelated face and then clear up, then person 2 gets a pixelated face and then clears up, and so forth. I am wondering if this facial regognition has something to do with this. When previewing the movie on the timeline, I don't see any pixelization.
Does anyone know the cause of this issue?

If you Used Fast Video Rendering Technology (HA), you should try producing without the HA.

Hardware Acceleration (HA) uses your Video card software and GPU to render the video, it is well known that on some systems the HA causes artifacts to appear in the produced video.

I have a similar issue, but I am not using Hardware Acceleration.

The video on the DVD has two problems that aren't seen on the source movie files. (1) the title on one of the clips see pixelated. I've tried another font, but pixelation is still a problem. (2) in some shots, a veil (this is a wedding video) seems to flicker over the image.

Do you think you may have a Moiré pattern?

Carl123, I'm not sure if that's it or not. Here is a quick shot of the effect I'm seeing - http://jmp.sh/5m2ONNe.

On the left is the "flickering veil," (the guy's vest is also flickering) and on the right is the pixelated lettering.

I know these aren't the best shots, but I hope they show what I mean.

Is there anything I can try to fix this?

Did you try rendering without Hardware acceleration? (Uncheck any reference to hardware video encoder) on the final output window. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.

Than you, Carl123! That did the trick. The effect is still there ever so slightly, but it is MUCH improved!

I also find that HD jpegs filcker badly when motion (pan) is added in a slide show and results look terrible on DVD.

Turning off PDR13 features is not a fix - just a work-around. Cyberlink needs to address the HA problem.
