change surround sound settings

I have never used Audio director so I have a few basic questions. I am considering upgrading to PD 13 since Audio director is included with today's sale.
My main interest is using it to author discs with surround sound. Does it work well for this? Also if I use the noise removal tool and later change my mind and I want the original audio back can that be done?

thanks,

Hello Heavytiger,

Welcome to the AudioDirector forum

Firstly, ADR 6 cannot be used for authoring BR or DVD discs. It can be used to creates CDs (audio only) from audio & video files. I've not yet used it for that purpose, so I can't advise you on whether you could burn (say) 5.1 channel audio tracks to a DTS disc. I'll investigate that further, but I don't expect that's what you're after in any case.

ADR can certainly edit & mix multi-channel audio from audio only or video files. These can be used in PowerDirector to create your surround sound DVDs or BR discs.

Regarding adjustments made to audio, like PowerDirector, CDR & PhD, ADR is a non-destructive editor. Your original files are never altered, so you can always return to the original clip.

Whilst you're editing & making adjustments (like noise removal), you can certainly undo changes made.

I hope that's clarified a couple of things for you.

Great! Luckily I find this post, I have the same question for my Audio Director too. Will try that.
