Sound problems

I have a DVD with a 23 minute video on it. I can play it on my DVD player with no problem. It has two sections that play back to back. First section has pictures with canned music playing. Second section has video with the usual sounds taken with the video.

Somehow, the first section plays fine in PD12, but the second section has no sound. What's very odd is that in the sound track, both sections show sound. The file type is VOB.

Thanks for any advice.

Did you first load the DVD's VOB files onto the hard drive, then import into PD from that drive? If not, try that.

Yes, tried that and had the same problem. Thanks for the reply.

The video has audio before adding the timeline?

Have audio in the timeline?

Wave is shown in the audio track?

Thanks so much for the replies. I figured out how to make this work. Rather than Importing the files, I went to the Capture option, selected all titles, and extracted the files. For some reason, this worked.

Thanks again.
