Issues with Output format MP4 H264 1080p @60fps
[Post New]
Hi Community

Since YouTube has enabled 60fps feature with Chrome Browser, I have started to upload 60fps videos to my gaming channel, since before this I have never tried 60fps production with PowerDirector, it was my first time to test it. The output result was not 100% satisfactory and I had some lags and gliches in out video.

I have linked below my 60fps video (only Google Chrome supports 60fps @ 720p or more) where video lags and gliches here and there.

Could anyone please suggest any solution to improve video quality in 60fps produced videos?

Video Link : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NXKfELt2zok

Timeline where lag/issue occurs : 00:23, 00:25, 00:44, 00:47, 00:50, 00:58, 1:02 and so on..... PROHDGaming Subcribe @ http://bit.ly/1650GFv

You are right, it has some glitches at 60fps. Are the original files 'clean'?

What settings did you use to produce the file? Similar thread here:

Thank you Sonic and Stevek

I have attached my DxDiag file , also I have attached screen shot of recorded video (recorded with Nvidia Shadowplay) attributes, I have tried to copy exact same attributes in my custom profile (also attached screen shot) only thing I changed was video bit-rates as it will be very huge file to render and upload to YT.....

Thanks

I don't see much if anything wrong with your computer as long as you don't use that nearly full drive.

Do you really have that many USB connected devices? Any possibility to remove some of them temporarily? When you are doing any video editing, make sure that you have the minimum of "other" programs running. .

Thanks Stevek

I will try rendering video again while removing USB Hard drives, and let u know the results !! PROHDGaming Subcribe @ http://bit.ly/1650GFv

Hi Stevek and Sonic

I tried disconnecting all unnecessary USB drives while editing and rendering video, but result is same, still there are some glitches and stutters in 60fps video !!!

anymore suggestions?

should i change some settings in video rendering profile? PROHDGaming Subcribe @ http://bit.ly/1650GFv

I tried using PD 12 with same rendering settings and video worked just fine, I think there is some issue with PD 13 with 60fps rendering

Try encoding your video without Hardware acceleration.

CPU rendering is always cleaner.

Thanks Carl for the reply, sure I can try without HW Acc

but then video rendering would be quite slow, isnt it?

also why PD 12 ultimate can produce good quality at 60fps and not PD 13? isnt that PD 13 is superior version?

It would be slower, how much slower is dependent on your CPU Clock Speed.

Hardware Acceleration is your GPU and Video Card Software.

On my system I do not see a lot of speed loss. But I do see cleaner video production.

Best advice, try it and see what your result is.

thanks Carl, result was better, but it does make a big difference in speed while batch producing, i batch produce a lot for my gaming YT channel and speed does matter, funny thing is that if I do individual video production from within each project even with hardware encoding with GPU, the result was good now only problem with quality was when I tried batch producing with hardware encoding, so in short

CPU rendering - batch produce and in project produce result was good either way

Hardware Render - In project produce (individual), result was good, but with batch produce result was bad

should i raise support tech ticket to get batch producing fixed?

I have i5 3570k with GTX780 PROHDGaming Subcribe @ http://bit.ly/1650GFv

It is always a good idea to contact Cyberlink support for any problem.

hey prash have you gotten this program to work properly on your videos. I have tired everything but still get the same video quality you did.

As suggested above, I turned off Hardware video encoding while rendering and video came out just fine, use only CPU rendering, CL PD 13 is full of glitches and compatibility issues, they will need atleast 5 patches to fix the damn thing, It has affected my work and I have already asked for full refund which they have not given me !!

Thanks for the response I was pulling my hair out trying to fix this issue. So far turning off both options under hardware acceleration seems to have worked on my two latest videos hopefully that was the problem. But I agree they need to patch this program good luck.
[Post New]
if they have option for hardware acceleration, it should work properly, or else you need to have good threaded CPU, but it is also true that video production always works fine with CPU only.... gaming GPUs are not meant to produce videos, u will need professional grade GPU which are designed for video production !!! I find it hard to recommend HW acceleration, as PD just hands the stream off to your GPU Driver and asks it do do the encoding..... Pending your GPU MFR, Model, and Driver you will get different results. + On my rig the CPU encoding is just as fast with much better and more reliable results. When you use SVRT, does it mean it will be purely CPU based rendering in PD? PROHDGaming Subcribe @ http://bit.ly/1650GFv

SVRT will try to just copy unaltered parts of the video stream and with CPU encode parts that are needed (eg with Transitions, Titles etc). I also find this hit and miss and in many cases not faster but it is worth a try. PD 64 Bit-Win10 64 Bit-32GB RAM-80TB HDD
