Hi, I have the same problem.

I have a Dell XPS 15, Core i7, 16GB RAM, NVidea Geforce GT750, 500GB SSD, Win 8.1

Running the latest Power Director 13, and it's completely unusable. SO slow, I can see it redrawing the screen under the mouse sometimes. Previewing the video (HD 1080) stutters all the time.

I also have a Samsung Core i5 laptop, 4GB RAM, SSD, running Powerdirector 12, and editing the same video, it has no issues whatsoever.

I have contacted support, who asked for logfiles, I provided them, they asked more questions, then closed the call.

I to get the shuddered video during preview/playback, when loading media sometimes all the buttons and functions dissappear from the screen then I have to minimize then maximize the program to get everything to appear again, generally slow in everything.

Dissapointing.

Let me know if you find a fix for yours.(I nearly brought the exact system you have) I was thinking it might of just been an AMD problem but I guess not.

I too have experienced the loss of button overlay display - that's been happening with PDR since about version 9, mostly for Nvidia users. It is really irritating but the interface can be recovered easily by hiding PDR to the task bar and then restoring. I've also had PDR13 crashing on me for unknown reasons... that is not pleasant.

I also am having dreadful trouble with my new PD13 (upgraded from PD11 which ran perfectly.) I have a Win 7, intel i7-3770 CPU, with 16GB Ram, andand AMD Radeon HD7800 series (I have no idea what most of that stuff does, but I DO know that it was custom built to take the cyberlink program.)

Ive had problems ever since download a week ago. So slow to play my clips, adding Fix/Enhance and ColorDirector at the moment and it's unbearable.
I only work in 30 minute blocks of clips, so it's nothing too huge.
Worse, it seems to split the audio...which keeps playing at the normal speed, and the video..which freezes...but the red 'cursor' line keeps jumping waaaay ahead to the very end, the last clips, and stops there. The audio is still playing from 10 minutes previously and the video has frozen at the very end - where it is not supposed to be.
It's driving me mad. I can't monitor any of my changes.

On top of this, it has crashed during the above process multiple times.
I've uninstalled, and reinstalled, and applied the last patch (not the beta) and have 13.0.2123.0.
I wish I didn't buy this. PD11 at least worked!!! I'm feeling sad and frustrated, what a lot of money! Jenny

Screenshot attached of workspace. the video in the viewer has frozen. the audio is still running from 10 minutes earlier (where it should be) and the red cursor line has jumped many minutes to stop at the end of the last clip.!

As well as this, the playback of the video is deteriorating and the system has crashed on numerous occasions.
Lastly, the color director presets saved in CD, do not transfer to the PD13 workspace after saving. To find them I have to turn off, and start the program again, where they appear.
