Hi all,

1. I'm a bit confused about the patches. Having JUST bought PD13 as the upgrade from PD11 download, (Love it!), I'm not sure when, if or how I download the patches. I only downloaded the program about 5 days ago.
Which, if any, patches do I need to download, ...and from the forum link? or...(other times I've notice it pop up on the workscreen in PD11).

2. Also, somewhere in a tutorial I thought I read that if you have PhotoDirector and Powerdirector, you can jump from one to the other? Say for example I'm putting stills in my movie in PD13, and decide I want whiter teeth (lol), I sort of remember reading that I could enter photodirector from somewhere on the PD13 workspace? or am I wrong?

3. I also can't find where to enter ColorDirector and Audio Director from the workspace in PD13. maybe I've got that wrong. It would be awkward having to stop, bring up the new software, import, edit, export, the import into pd13 :/

4. oh, and one last thing. I still have my PD11 on my PC. Do I need to keep it there (since I did the 'upgrade download from PD11to 13)? Are the two programs now linked, since it was an upgrade? If I uninstalled 11 would 13 cease to work?

Q 1: In PD, click on the ? in the upper right corner. Click on the last item in the list, "About CL PD". Then, on the first line of the pop-up box, you'll see your PD version and something like: 13.0.2123. The last 4 digits are the version number. Check at the top of this forum index for notes that will explain which is the most recent version. If yours is the most recent, you're okay. If not, install the latest patch.

I can't answer the other questions.

P.S. Your avatar photo takes forever to load...must be a long way from Sydney.

When you buy an upgrade you do not buy a partial version of the software. You buy a full version at a reduced price. The old version is no longer needed and should be uninstalled. This is true for PD, not for all software.
The old version must be removed before installing the new one.

Uh oh. I didn't uninstall PD11 before I put on PD13 .

Thanks Richmond Dan, I'll upload a smaller version of the avatar, it's probably 45,000000000 megapixels or something.

Does anyone know about my Q's in OP - 2& 3? about Photodirector linking with PD, and Color and Audiodirector access?

If you want to be sure contact technical support.

Or try it :
Remove CyberLink PowerDirector version 13 and earlier versions from the Control Panel.
Go to C:\Program Files\CyberLink\ and delete the folder CyberLink PowerDirector 13 and the folder to any previous version.
Restart your PC and install PowerDirector 13
