I disagree, both are used in conjunction with each other.
Firstly the film clips have to be normalised to match each other for colour temperature, black & white points set, denoised etc. In other words they are colour corrected using ColorDirector, before colour grading is employed to produce the required film look, using FilmTouch 2 Pro.
You can still apply limited colour grading using just ColorDirector, but grading is a complex subject involving many variables in addition to simply adjusting colours and this is where FilmTouch 2 with its numerous presets give either the required look straight out of the box, or gives a quick starting point for further adjustment.
