Playing files from Humax with PowerDVD 11

PowerDVD11 connects to my Humax HDR-Fox2 through my house network and can display icons for the video files on the Humax. Video files are shown and shown as TS files, but when click on I get the message that "Cyberlink PowerDVD cannot play this file" although the Help files shows that MPEG-2 TS files should be played'

Windows media player displays files from the Humax for standard definition TV video files only, and will play them after long buffering.

The files are .ts files.

The operating system is Windows 7 (fully updated) 64/32 bit

Any ideas are welcome.

Hi mrjcjones, you haven't mentioned where this ts file comes from. For those videos that cannot be played in PowerDVD, I would choose to transcode them beforehand to like WMV or MOV.

Thanks for the reply. The video .ts files are from my Humax HDR-Fox2. Standard definition files play but high definition files will not.
I have been in contact with Cyberlink support who upgraded me to PowerDVD 14, but with no improvement. The HD files are coded by Humax and there seems no reliable way to decode them. Cyberlink could not help and I suggested they make a commercial agreement with Humax so they could officially decode the files. I don't know if they are looking at the suggestion. I have checked the net and found no reliable way of transcoding.
