sound LPCM 5.1 or 7.1 on blu-ray sound when LPCM 2.0, setting not encode HD sound issues as helping only change the settings in the PCM coded. Correct please not in the first assembly of such a defect.

Hi Ricky,

Bug is still under investigation. Our development team is in contact with Cyberlink and collaborating on this issue currently. We are seeing some strange behavior on the application side so we just need to work with Cyberlink to understand the issue and hopefully that will yield a solution. Again i will certainly update once a fix is available.

Best regards,
Ray

Hi Ricky,

I'm afraid the bug is still under investigation and not fixed yet. Once the bug is fixed and a driver is available, then I'll definitely notify you so you can retest.

Best regards,
Ray

Hi still have the same problem in the new driver 344.11

I try to find the problem but it a driver.
Response Ray via Email 07/31/2014 11:08 AM
Hi Ricky,

I'm not sure if I understand your question, can you clarify please? Switching between 2D and 3D is control by the graphics drivers. The "C:\NVIDIA" folder is just the default folder the compressed drivers binaries are extracted to. Once the binaries are extracted then the installer wizard runs from that directory. This is merely a folder to hold the extracted driver binaries. The binaries in this folder is not used again once the installation is complete, so you can actually delete the entire folder if you don't need to saved the driver binaries. All the drivers used by Windows is installed to the proper Windows directories. The "NV3DVision" folder house all the binaries required for the Stereoscopic feature.

Best regards,
Ray

Thanks for the update Ricky. We have received more reports of this issue and currently working with the other users to help with our investigation. We believe we finally have a failure case in-house for our development to investigate. We hope to have this fixed in a future driver update. I will notify you as soon as a driver with the fix is available so you can verify.

Best regards,
Ray

3D playback using Nvidia 3DTV Play has been broken for 6 months now. It's a joke.
See this thread
https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/767088/3d-vision/broken-3d-bluray-playback-since-fake-3d-driver-introduced-unfixable-/
If I was working for cyberlink I'd be fuming. The biggest reason most people buy PowerDVD is for 3D bluray playback and it doesn't work!
Other players do work mind so it's not 'just' a driver problem.

The problem is there are artifacts around characters etc and when there is a camera edit/change of scene you can see it swipe from left to right or up to down or whatever transition effect they have used.
It's since they introduced the fake 3D tech for games.
The latest drivers have got better with the artifacts but motion is still off and the transitions (camera changes) are still horrendous.
It feels like you head is turning inside out.
6 months it has been like this! New driver that has just come out doesn't fix it either!
I've tried it on my Panasonic Plasma and my projector.
Tried different HDMI leads and allsorts. Going back to an old driver and everything works fine!
Problem is you cant use old drivers with the new 9 series gfx cards so it is pointless upgrading GPU's! Haswell 4770k watercooled @4.6 ghz. 16GB RAM,

patch releases for powerdvd 13 / 14 create new problems which don't exist for non-patch releases, i.e. main setups. traces get left behind upon product removal. so i propose you:-

1) add an option to clean install updates. what this means is patches remove all traces of existing data, then install the patch version fresh. lose all settings

2) same as above but keep settings and preferences. like powerdvd 11 patching does.

powerdvd 14 has a process crash at itermittent uninstalls [not consistent] but the issue has existed since the very first version.

since "frozen" got fixed, powerdvd 14 suffers from micro-stutter. i'm cuda decoding & my cpu is quad core 3ghz + 12mb cache size. i.e. best cpu available for my motherboard. anything higher & i would have to overclock.

Set a 3D resolution in nvidia control panel. Ie 3D 1080p 24hz.
Load powerdvd and play film in 3D. (It'll look like crap)
Pause film.
Go to nvidia control panel
Change 3DTVPlay to checkerboard, press apply
Change back to 3DTV Play, press apply
Unpause film in powerdvd
Voila, working 3D!
Thanks to geforce forums for the fix!
