Adding Video Clips to the Timeline Without Their Audio?

I am building a project that uses both photos and videos in track 1, with a separate audio file. When I import a video clip into the timeline, the audio portion corrupts the audio track, shifting the audio to the right from the insert point.

So is their a way to import a video clip to the timeline, and stipulate video only, no audio? ----------------

If you can make a screenshot (Print Screen) showing the Timeline, show us Facilitates Understanding to Your Problem.

Can you drag and drop the video clip to another track, unlink the audio, then drag the video only to Track 1 where you want it?

After that you can just delete that "leftover" audio track.

Mike,

This works like a charm! However, still wish there was some
way like Ctrl+Drag for instance, to drag a clip to the timeline, and get the video (or the audio) by itself.

Thanks for the tip! ----------------

No problem.
Agreed. Something like that would be a nice feature. Mike B.

Ctrl/Shif/...+Drag are occupied by ripple editing hotkeys
However, you can find extract audio from context menu in library to get pure audio from your video.
