Hi all,

I'm trying to make a text (or image) move in a sort of 3D way.

Take a look at this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_VAqBvO63oE

At 0:05 you see the A (between "with" and "vengeance") fly in. How can I achieve that in PD??

If you've not looked at the NewBlue Titler plug-in yet, I think you'll find it can do what you wish. You'll need to poke around a bit, there seems to be no decent tutorial.
You can also make your text as a .png file (transparent background), and use key-frames to manipulate it. You will need a graphics creation program to do that.
As for the in-built homegrown PD titler, it's more powerful in this version, I've yet to fully inspect it.

Hi Arjen1979 -

Barry's right. NB Titler Pro will give you lots of options. Everything can be keyframed.

PD's Title Designer has keyframes in this version too... though they're not at the point of being completely stable & predictable yet! To achieve that "Die Hard" effect, you'll have to use keyframes. The regular text effects just won't do it.

The video below was made only using Title Designer

I've uploaded these title templates - the third one (DIE HARD III) shows how I set the keyframes

Thank you Tony, I've downloaded the file and I can open it in PD. But when I open it, I see nothing happening. I see just a small black dot on the left border of the screen appearing and dissapearing. What am I doing wrong? It turns out that I'm using PD 11, does this make a difference?

Oh PDR11. Even though DirectorZone kindly informs you that template "is available for PowerDirector 13/12/11/10/9/8/7" that's just not true. PDR13 - yes, but previous versions wouldn't be able to read the keyframes.

DIE HARD I will be fin in PDR11, because it had no keyframes applied.

For PDR11, you could use DIE HARD I combined with this motion object - http://directorzone.cyberlink.com/detail/131986047 - the A, but you won't be able to zoom the words out at the end.

Cheers - Tony
