Custom profiles location

I just created a custom MP4 profile and saved it to it's default location. It's accessible under Custom when I reopen PD13. However, I would like to able to save it and maybe others I create off of my computer so that in the event I need to reinstall PD13, I can copy them back into their default folder without having to re-create them again. I did a system search for the profile name and came up empty.

Several years ago PDToots did a tutorial on creating WMV profiles. I looked in the same folder that contained the WMV files (...Language\enu\Profile) but the newly created MP4 profile was not there or at least not visible.

Does anyone know where that default folder might be?

Thank you

I am on a 32-bit computer right now so it is a different location, but you should be able to search profile.ini from the start menu and find it. __________________________________

Hi Atreyu -

The custom MPEG-4, MOV & M2TS profiles are stored in a single file - Profile.ini (openable in NotePad)

You'll find it at C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\CyberLink\PowerDirector\13.0 - you need to make sure your Folder options (Control Panel) is set to "Show hidden files, folders & drives".

Just make a copy of Profile.ini & transfer it to the same location under your new installation.

Cheers - Tony

Jaime.......

That's it! I guess I thought that the profiles would be stored as explained in the PDToots tutorial and not all together in a single profile.ini file.

Thank you very much.......... PowerDirector 17, Ultimate 64 bit.

Tony.

You nailed the location. I found it with Jaime's help. Thanks again to both of you. PowerDirector 17, Ultimate 64 bit.

How about backup it to cloud? It's a new feature. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
