Hello,

I installed the PD13 demo to see how fast it works. But the produce->hardware encoding option is greyed out, even on H264! I downloaded the demo to see if it uses both cards to render (I have a AMD A8 5557M 8550g+8750M) to see if i may or may not purchase.

But the option greyed out, the hardware acceleration options in the main configuration menu are on. I have the latest drivers 14.9 WHQL please help.

Did you install OpenCL drivers?

Later Edit:
Your mobile card is not supported:

AMD APU Family with AMD Radeon™ HD Graphics: A-Series, E2-Series, C-Series, E-Series, G-Series
AMD Radeon™ HD Graphics: HD 7000 Series, HD 6000 Series
ATI Radeon™ HD Graphics: 5900 Series, 5800 Series, 5700 Series, 5600 Series, 5500 Series, 5400 Series
ATI FirePro™ Graphics
ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD: 5800 Series, 5700 Series, 5600 Series, 5400 Series
ATI Mobility FirePro™: M7820, M5800

No, but that has nothing to do with it. PowerDirector only uses OpenCL1.2, not 2.0. I installed the latest graphics driver.

My card is supported,

"AMD APU Family with AMD Radeon™ HD Graphics: A-Series"

And as I said, PowerDirector 11/12 worked with hardware encoding.

Or is the hardware encoding now full version only? Anyone with working hardware encoding under the trial version? Of course Im talking about the one in the producing menu!

So if you run GPU-Z it shows OpenCL?
I will try the trial PD 13 when I get home.

Yes, it sure does! OpenCL option in the main configuration works too. Just the hardware encoding option in produce is greyed out.

Well, I guess I will never know... Installer tells me that I need Windows Media Player 9.0 or higher. I guess the version 12 that I have on my PC is not enough

Any solution to this? I'm having the same issue. Hardware encoding worked great with v. 11 and 12. All greyed out in 13.
