Multiple problems

Hi all. I have 4 issues I`d appreciate help with. Had PD9 for years and hardly used it to be honest, but I`ve just upgraded to 12 and produced a `Walkthrough` for a friend (1st time Ive ever tried this) and I encountered 4 problems.

1/http://www.polperrocottageholiday.co.uk/walkthrough.html
If you go here and skip to the end, you`ll see it doesnt stop where it should, and there`s just an unsightly black. How do I let the program know exactly where it should stop?
2/I had enormous problems with my clips becoming `jagged`. Ie, although the sound and video were linked, when I added a Fade, the top half would be pulled to the left, leaving the bottom half where it was(see attached pic)
3/I`ve lost all the Options that were originally displayed beneath the Preview window(Trim, Enhance etc) when I had a clip highlighted. How do I get these back?
4/Despite repeated attempts. The program would not upload to Youtube. It would complete the top task ok, then fail somepoint between 40-75% on the 2nd. I`ve doubke checked and my vid is less than 2gb and less than 10mins. Ive finally managed it myself outside of PD12, so the problems either with the program, or the boxes Im ticking.

Thankyou

I`m using Win 7 (64bit)
AMD Phenom x2 || X4 955 Processor
Nvidia GForce 9600 GT

Hi,

(1) There's a tiny clip at 7:49 that is the actual end of the 'movie'. The black screen is the empty space before that…

One further thing I noticed. I rendered this in Avi, Wmv, and Mp4 to compare them. at the end of the movie a website address is supposed to appear, it does in the Avi version, but neither of the others. Why is that? Thankyou

(2) This is strange because your picture shows video and audio clips unlinked from each other. I think they must have been unlinked before applying the transitions. You should check that.

You can probably 'fix' the condition shown in the picture by selecting all the affected clips in either video or audio track and move the selected clips all at a time to get aligned with the clips in the other track.

(3) Not sure what exactly you mean but it might be just a matter of toggling between 'Clip' and 'Movie' timeline modes by clicking on the corresponding buttons just below the preview window on the left.

(4) I gave up using the YouTube upload feature in PowerDirector a long time ago. I now always produce to a local file which I then upload through the YouTube web interface in a web browser…

Hi Jirka. Thanks again for your reply.
2/ Although the clips appear unlinked, they in fact are linked Dont know how to upload pic unfortunately. If I right click on that clip, the only link option I get is to `Unlink`, so they must be linked. Could this have been caused by my having removes the audio from some clips further on?
3/again, wish I could upload a pic to show you. I only have that problem with this `movie`, so it may be that one problems caused another ?
4/Totally agree. Have spoken to support and they claim theres no problem, but I`m sure you and I arent the only ones finding it not worth the effort

Well,

(2) Video and audio clips are definitely unlinked from each other in your picture. I am not sure what you wanted to achieve but you can apply transitions between clips in several different ways.

I think you wanted to use the Constant Gain transition effect. You need to apply it by dragging to the desired location; in principle, you can put it at the end of the leading clip or at the beginning of the trailing clip or split it at their border. Only the last of the three positions fades in and out the video clips; the other two positions only affect the audio.

(3) You did provide a picture for the transation problem. Perhaps you could the same for this one.
