I am using PD13. If I import a video clip into the media and then trim it into separate chapters, how do I then move those separate clips BACK into my media library as STAND ALONE clips?

Thanks in advance.

Move the orange timeline markers on each side of the timeline scrubber to start and end of desired range then right-click and select "Produce range."

(For more details, search produce range in the PowerDirector help file.) Mike B.

I tried this and it does work - but there oughtta be a better way. In Pinnacle I could just drag it and drop it.

What fkaMikeB said works. You didn't try hard enough. You also hijacked this thread in which our moderator frowns upon.

Sorry. I'm kinda new to all this and definitely not trying to hijack anything. I'm really just here lookin for some help and advice. Anyway like I said I tried that method , and it is certainly a way that works. Being new to power director I'm wondering if anyone here knows any other methods? If thats the most direct method, then that's what I'll hafta use. thx for the help.

I just drag and drop clips to the media library from an open folder/documents file* to PowerDirector - it's easier for me to do that with two monitors.
*Same can be done from MediaShow (displays and plays video) to PowerDirector.

This is a hijacked thread. New members, if you're not helping the original poster (OP) with your post and seeking assistance to a similar issue to the OP's, you should start your own new topic and reference back the older post. Forum members will try and give you their full attention, providing the support and solution you seek.
