m2ts loads *really* slow!

Yeah, so why are m2ts files taking like 30 secs to load? That's 30 secs of black before it will start the movie (after which it plays just fine). .mov files, for instance, play instantly.

Hmm, 200 views, and no one having the same issue? Gotta say, support here is rather, erm, 'slow.'

(And no, I can't ask official support yet, as I'm only using a trial right now; and I doubt my old PowerDVD 8 license will still be good, LOL).

Seriously, though, if I can't use m2ts comfortably, or import my music library (see my other thread), a trial is probably really all I'll be using; which is a shame, as it seems version 14 made a lot of improvements.

Can you please upload a short sample of the mt2s file you can't load into the program. I use Yaa.im as a file sharing site. A few seconds would be enough.

I searched for a sample of a mt2s file off the web and downloaed it. It started to play immediately. Your file format may be different than the one I downloaded. I used PowerDVD 14 (live) on a Dell 13 inch laptop Windows 8.1 computer

Some players must convert some m2ts into another format before it can be played. Read this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.m2ts .
