PD12 Crashes when trying to upload video to Vimeo

Not sure where to start. Been trying to upload a video to Vimeo, first, it was too big for my account quota. Got a message about that. Fine. No problem. Decreased video quality - crash. Decreased it even more - crash. Tried again - PD12 hung forquite a while, left the computer, when back there's a message that I've filled my upload quota for Vimeo (500MB/week). Tried several times, restarted in between - same every time - crash.

Login to Vimeo - nothing there, quota still at 0% used. WTF?!

PD-series must be the worst program out there. Every time I upgrade I'm thinking "can't get worse", and every time I realize I'm just fooling myself. Too bad I already have a handfull of projects made with PD over the years. Seems like it's time to start having the auto save set to every minute again...

And yes, PD is the only program that behaves like this. Have had it on at least 2 computers, several Windows installs (W7 and W8.1). The only programs that has caused me more headache are Java client and Oracle client - this is over 14 years in the IT-business.

Now, when going through FAQs etc, I see that it requires you to be logged in as an admin? Is this a program created by and for amateurs? Properly designed software does not require admin rights! One should never need to be logged in with admin privileges, elevation when needed should be enough.

Micke00:

Sorry to hear of your issues with PD12 crashing. I can understand your frustration, but we here are all just mostly satisfied fellow users of PD12. You could open a ticket with Cyberlink Support and see if they might be able to help.

Of course, we would like to help you here too, but to do that we would need to know what you are trying to produce, and in what format? An image of your timeline would assist us, as would a dxdiag file, which would let us see if your computer configuration has any obvious issues that might cause PD12 to choke. Instructions are in a sticky thread at the beginning of the Forum. Most often, the pros here (and I don't count myself among that august group) can get people up and running or inform them definitively what the issue is.

Hope this helps. Have a great day.

Nope, used "post reply" as with this message. Just tried again without using code-style for the dxdiag output, still the very same message. Maybe too many charachters?

Edit: works as per below. Guess error messages are overrated : Seems like there were too many characters.

Trying again, this time attaching DXdiag's output as text.

Thanks for taking time to answer. Yes, I was and am quite frustrated with PD, it could be a great piece of software if it only was solid. The format of the original video is Mpeg4-AVC/H.264 (1920x1080@30fps) from a Sony HDR-AS15. When uploading to Vimeo from within PD one never get to choose output format.

1. PD12 Ultra 12.0.2930.0

2. Please see attached screenshot.

3. Please see attached DXdiag output.
