recommend mpeg4 player
[Post New]
I created an MPEG4 video from an AVCHD file from my Cannon HG10 using PowerDirector V7 with the lastest patch. However, I cannot use WINDVD to play this file after rendering in PD7. WINDVD plays the AVCHD file fine but when I try to use WINDVD to play the PD7 rendered file, it blows? Is this a WINDVD problem? Are there other MPEG4 players out there that will play PD7 MPEG4 files? Preferably free? Thanks as always?

Hi Peter,

Become a member of SeeMyWorldOnVideo, a site dedicated to Power Director users, its completly free to join and take advantage of all the free programs found by other PD7 users that actually work with PD7 including MPEG4 players.
Once you have joined, click on the Extras for Editors link to access the free programs. There are many training videos to be viewed as well.

A player called "VLC" is available as a free download and is free for non commercial use. It is a "cross platform" player that I have found very useful and the latest version is supposed to play AVCHD files as well.

Hi Bif,

That's one of the Video Editing tools Robert was directing Peter to look at. Go have a look again as new ones are regularily added, plenty of little bits you'll enjoy I think. http://seemyworldonvideo.com/pages/extras.html

I always read your posts, excellent value.....

Dafydd,

Robert pointed that out to me, so I went there and took a good look.

A veritable gold mine of resources! I'll be visiting there regularly, can't afford not to.
