Video border overlay
[Post New]
Hey folks,

I have the following problem: my video file has some small black border all around. I want to "overlay" these black borders with my background image. So far I haven´t found a solution, maybe someone got an idea how to do that.

Thx ! :: I love it when a plan comes together ::

That black border is because the overlaid video is not filling or fitting its 4:3 frame.

The Video actually has those black borders.

It is possible to crop those black borders out, but be aware it is hard to do and not end up with the black of the Overlay, filling the 16:9 video with black.

With Black borders

As you see I did not get all of the Black border.

Addendum:
If you go into modify of the overlay then use Chroma key, you can make the black border go away, but anything black in the image will be made transparent, anything behind the overlay will show through.

Notice the Words Disney Channel are transparent

Hey,

thanks for your reply. Your advise made me try different stuff and I ended up using a custom mask to cut away the black borders. This works fine for me.
