Can't upload to YouTube. After producing video, I upload to YouTube and get a message that says "You uploaded an image file. not a video file. Turn your photos into YouTube videos using the slideshow creator." Any suggestions? I sent the file as MPEG4, 1920/1080 30p 16 bit.

Did you create a Slide show video?

Did you use your Youtube Account to upload?

What file did you upload?

If the file had a *.pds extension, that is the Powerdirector Project file (a set of instructions to Powerdirector).

You need to go to PRODUCE, Produce a Mpeg-4 1920x1080/30p (16 Mbps) video. It will have a *.mp4 extension.

It would help if you gave details of what you did instead of having to guess.

I first produced the video. Then cliced MPeg4- 1920/1080 30p 16bit. I logged into Youtube and uploaded. It said it was not a video file and I should use slide show.

I coverted file to 1280/720 30p 16 bit and tried again. Got the same msg.

This time I increased my limit of 15 minutes. The file is about 1 hour or 470MB It gave me the same msg (Not a video file)

Do I have to run "Produce" every time I change the file?

Can you post the file info about the file you uploaded?
It's not clear what kind of file you created.

Yes, you do.

You may be exceeding the Youtube allowed video length.

Now I'm really confused. Why would they text me a 6 digget code to type in to YouTube so I could get more than 15 minutes?
Has anyone else seen this or is this something new for U-tube?

You don't have to type the code, just copy (Ctrl+C) from the email and paste (Ctrl+V) on the Youtube page.

Not new, it is a security feature. To be sure it is you.
