'Ello all, This is my first post on the forum so I apologize an advance if I don't follow all the suggestions in the sticky's perfectly.

I have Windows 7 Enterprise and am using PD11 to make videos for my summer research internship and am having trouble getting the credits to do what my boss wants. We are using the scroll up motion on the credits to show them all like traditional credits. Due to the logo police's ever-present eye we have to have a disclaimer banner on the bottom of our credits page, and this creates a problem where text is being overlayed with other text at the bottom of the page. This just looks awful and we are wondering if there is a way to modify where the scrolling starts so it can start above the disclaimer.

Does anyone know how to change the scrolling text motions so they can start inside the page instead of coming from off the page?

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Hey J,

That can easily be done:

1. Create a graphic with the size (resolution) of the video format. Let's say that the logo/disclaimer cobvers the bottom 200 pixels of the screen. In that case you add a 200 pixel high rectangle at the bottom of the graphic. You can coose any color or pattern you like for the recatngle. Everything above it must be transparent. Save this graphic as a PNG-file and import it into PD11.

2. In PD11 you put the rolling credits on (for example) video track 3. Add the imported graphic to video track 4. The text of the disclaimer is added to video track 5. That's all.

Thanks for your reply Jr!

Super cool! That works perfectly, and is simple enough that anyone at my job can do it

I was worried about trying to make a image of text, and then make a motion path for it, I mean I could figure it out but that would be a pain for each new video, and part of my job is trying to make templates to simplify all this.

Thanks again,
