PDVD won't output 5.1 with 8 speaker output

Hello,

I'm new to PowerDVD, but have had a heck of a time getting audio output right. My system is a AsRock B75 Pro3m with a Realtek 892. I have my HTPC hooked up to a 7.1 surround sound receiver via analog outputs. The receiver only accepts 7.1 via analog and not through HDMI. It is a Pioneer VSX-1017TXV.

The issue I am having is when PowerDVD has 8 speakers selected as an output and I play an older BD with only 5.1 surround I only get sound out of the center, front, and subwoofer. If I pop in a new BD with 7.1, I get sound in all speakers. If I select 6 speaker output on the BD with 5.1, I get sound out of the rear speakers, but as soon as I select 8, it goes back to front, center, and subwoofer only. Is there no way to get PowerDVD to play 5.1 audio with an 8 speaker output selected? I would like to be able to keep one set of settings and play a lot of different BD with good results.

Thanks for the help in advance.

I have this same bug also.
It's really annoying, having to swap settings all the time.
Something else I have noticed too;
if I delay the audio by any amount the speakers seems to move. Centre speaker comes out of the front left etc.
If I change the output in powerdvd to stereo then back to 6 it will work as normal unless I fast forward or rewind. Then it glitches again!
This HDCP crap is a nightmare! It's not stopping anyone pirating films but stopping the people paying for them to not have a fully working setup.
It should just be playing 6 or 8 wavs in sync with a video and here we are looking for workarounds and jumping through hoops as it doesn't work properly!
