I purchased PowerDVD 14 Ultra today and I am not getting any sound when playing BDs. Sound is working fine for all of the following:

mp3 audio
mp4 video / audio
mkv video / audio
regular DVD

I've downloaded the advisor and everything passed.

I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.

Any ideas?

I had a similar issue earlier on Windows 8.1 with a Realtek 892. I had to uninstall and reinstall the drivers a couple of times. It had to do with the dts-hd sound on the BD not finding a secure path to transmit the sound.

I was able to get sound with the Microsoft HD audio drivers, but not the Realtek ones. Eventually, I got the Realtek drivers to work.

What type of speaker setup do you have? Have you tried changing the audio output under settings in PDVD?

This is where it gets strange.

When playing a regular DVD, video file, sound file, etc, the sound settings display as they do in screen1.jpg.

However, when playing a Blu Ray, the sound settings display as they do in blueray.png. It's like when playing a Blu Ray, it, for some reason, just can't find anything to output to.
