As stated in my previous post, the beta patch fixed my problem. No further assistance is required, especially if it involves remote login to my computer.

thx for the patch

I would have bet money that I ran the patch before. Just did it again and it did indeed fix the problem.
Thanks Dave.

Definitely not fixed for me, latest patch, latest AMD HDMI audio drivers. I often have to stop and restart a movie with DTS HD Master Audio (original disc, no copy) to get sound. It's not deal breaking, mind you, since the first restart usual fixes it, it's just annoying.

This is how to fix a not working DTS-HD sound on Cyberlink PowerDVD v14 and make it work even with Analog Stereo Output:

  • Install the latest Update Patch first.

  • Run PowerDVD 14

  • Click the Settings button.

  • Click the Video, Audio, Subtitles tab.

  • Click More Audio Settings.

  • Select (current system settings) under Speaker environment.

  • Select TrueTheater Surround under Output Mode.

  • Setup TrueTheater Surround Settings as you wish.

  • Save setting and quit PowerDVD.

  • Go to Control Panel and open the Sound settings.

  • Select your Default (Analog) Device and click Properties.

  • Select the Advanced tab.

  • Under Default Format select the highest quality available: 24 bit, 192000 Hz (Studio Quality)

Start PowerDVD 14 and you're done!
