Preview window slowing down all of the sudden, but not when it's on the timeline

I have been using this program for months now and just recently it's started slowing down when I am previewing it. It's like it's going in slow motion.

The odd thing is when I drag the clip to the timeline it works fine in the preview window. Its only when I am previewing the clip before dragging it to the timeline.

Its not my computer, as it has not been a problem previously. It worked flawlessly before a week or so ago. Just wondering if there is an issue with this right now?

Thanks,
Eric

First Check the Video Card manufacture's Web site for the a updated Video card Driver.

Have you thought about clearing the Temp files in both Windows and in PowerDirector.

PowerDirector: Preferences > General. Click the Manually Delete Button.

Windows: Windows Explorer, right click C drive > Properties, On the General Tab, click Disk Clean Up button.

If the cleanup of temporary files does not fix you current problem, you may need to re-install PowerDirector.

I did all the things you suggested:

I already keep up to date with my drivers, my cache was cleaned out and not fragmented. Then I did an uninstall.

It's still doing it. It's so weird. My finish product looks fine, but trying to preview it without dragging it on the timeline is a real pain since it's in slow motion.

Anything else you can think of?

I tried to take it to the lowest preview level and it's still slow in the previews, but not when I am previewing it from the timeline. Something media box is slowing down the videos and I don't know what it could be.
