I was on the threshold of purchasing ColorDirector2 this morning, when I saw a YouTube video on Cyberlink ColorDirector 4 - no, not AudioDirector 4 or PhotoDirector4 - ColorDirector4. The video was put up in November 2012. I can send the link if anyone wants it. Is verion 4 "vaporware", or is it actually available? I don't see it on the Cyberlink products page.

Hello Bill,

ColorDirector 4 doesn't exist in any form at the moment. In November 2012 (when the video was uploaded) CDR 2 had only recently been released.

If this is the video to which you refer http://youtu.be/4VPYcYxrYrI it was made using ColorDirector 2. The top left corner of the interface shows the distinctive CDR 2 icon.

I'm afraid the tutorial maker simply made a mistake!

Thanks. Yes, that's the video I saw. Your note implies that there is a CDR3. Is that correct, or is it in beta form now? If it's in distribution, can you point me toward the differences between CDR2 and 3? Bill Hansen

Hello Bill,

Just as you'd expect, like night follows day, CDR 3 will follow CDR 2.

Yes, CDR 3 is being developed as we write & should be released in the latter part of 2014. I am not privy to improvements or changes implemented in the upcoming version, so I'm unable to provide any information. Like you, I'd just be guessing
