I am trying to capture from Sattelite STB with a widescreen format. I do not wish to process the movie again. However the captured movie is in the 4:3 format. Is there a way other than to process the movie again to get widescreen.

Hi,
Please provide a 5 second sample clip for assessment - it must be a 5 seconds capture from the satellite broadcast .

Video can be squashed during processing and when displayed on a screen stretched back to 16:9 display. The classic appearance of this type of method is Cinemascope where lens were used to both record and then display a wide screen. HD and analogue video can be squashed to a 4:3 file size and then expanded to display 16:9. This is done primarily to reduce file size. For your issue i suspect that is the case. In PDR you can edit the video in its 4;3 set up and display it as 16:9, then chose what you want to output the video as. In your recorded data and for most 4:3 squashed media, a TV's recognizes the media and will stretch the video to display as 16:9 - you shouldn't need to re-edit/re-process the video.

A sample would help confirm my guessed assumptions.
