Have been using the trial version for a couple days. Impressed enough to buy the full Ultra version this morning.

Do I install over trial version? Uninstall trial and then install full verion?

Cannot find the answer, either here in Forum or Googling it.

It is recommended that you uninstall the Trial version before installing the Full retail version.
The trial is known to sometimes cause problems in the Full Retail Program from left over stuff.

In Windows 7, Control Panel > Programs and Features.

I've been playing with the trial version for a week or so, and liked it enough to go buy a boxed PD12 Ultra.

I uninstalled the trial version, deleted all directories, deleted the registry entries, then installed the two disks from the box. It asked for the serial number, and worked the first time I used it.

But the next time I booted up the program, it reverted to the trial version screen. So I uninstalled everything again, and reinstalled the disks, put in the serial number, etc.

The program still starts in the trial version.

In the member area I show both the trial and box version registered, and can't delete/edit either.

Sent a help desk request but so far no response.

Might anyone have any suggestions at this point?

Thanks!!

How are you sure it is the Trial version you are seeing?

Start PowerDirector, whatever version starts, Click on the words "Powerdirector in the upper Right corner.
Or you can click on the "?" > About Cyberlink Powerdirector.
Either will be the ABOUT window.

Screen shot that window, Post that screen shot on the forum so that we may see what is showing.

Thanks for the quick reply. Here's a screenshot. Also I get the trial prompt when starting, buy now/try now.

The About is a registered version.

You may be getting the standard Cyberlink ads for new version even though you have the latest version.

I get them and so does everybody else from time to time. Cyberlink also has ads in the produce and Create Disk modules.

You do learn to ignore the ads after a while.

So to confirm: I have to click on a mandatory 'try now' button in a popup window that says I have xx days left (it's still counting down) of a trial version which expires on 7/11/2014, every single time I want to run the program?

And on 7/11 see what happens?

This is, for a supposedly quality program, and after paying $75.00, a pretty dumb thing to have to do.

Seems like I should have just updated my VideoStudio instead.

But I certainly do appreciate your help and information.

Barry's link does not provide a link to the actual cleaner tool.

This one does.

I love Rain and Parades, just not at the same time.

I have that link in my favorites in the browser. I do not remember how I found it in the first place.
Cyberlink's search leaves a lot out.
